Shawnee High School freshmen attended orientation in the Performing Arts and Athletics Center Monday, Aug. 19.
According to SPS Public Information Officer Cherity Pennington, ninth graders began their orientation by learning SHS songs and chants.
Pennington said the day followed with the National Honor Society students giving new students a tour of the high school.
In addition, several high school organizations set up booths to answer questions about joining various activities.
Pennington also explained parents of freshmen met with counselors and principals at the end of orientation.
Classes begin Tuesday.
