LUTHER — Three fumbles were just a little too much for Chandler to overcome Friday night in a 15-14 loss to Luther.

Chandler amassed 265 yards of offense to 244 for Luther. But Luther had just one turnover, that on an interception.

Chandler senior Caedon Parris caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Kaden Jones in the first quarter but the 2-point conversion attempt failed.

Chandler also received a second-quarter eight-yard touchdown run from senior Dylan McKinney. McKinney also converted a 2-point conversion run.

Luther, which trailed 14-9 at the intermission, scored the winning touchdown on a 50-yard bubble pass with eight minutes remaining in the game.

Chandler outrushed Luther 182-60.

Chandler, 0-2, will launch its home season Friday versus St. Mary’s.
