Shawnee police are seeking information regarding a pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred around 8:18 p.m. Saturday, October 5.

According to Shawnee Police Department Cpl. Vivian Lozano, officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian injury accident that took place at Highland Street and Philadelphia Avenue.

Lozano said the driver of the car left the scene of the crash before police officers arrived.

Paramedics treated the victim of the accident, Lozano said, and transported him to an undisclosed hospital.

According to the report, witnesses of the accident described the car as a silver or gray sedan driven by a white female.

The driver left the scene going southbound on Philadelphia Avenue.

Lozano said there should be damage to the suspect's car on the passenger side front quarter or front passenger door.
