NEWCASTLE — Seminole saw its fast-pitch season concluded at 14-15 Thursday with 4A regional losses to Newcastle, 13-1, and Cache, 20-3.

Newcastle outhit Seminole 14-5. Leadoff hitter Holli Ladd was Seminole’s only multiple hitter with two singles.

Five Seminole errors led to five unearned runs. Newcastle tallied eight runs in the fourth inning and the game was called after five innings on the run rule.

Seminole was guilty of nine more errors against Cache as the victors tallied nine unearned runs.

The Lady Chieftains finished with nine hits as Reese Street led the way with three singles. Sienna Deatherage and Kaylyn Cotner provided two hits each with Cotner doubling.
