BROKEN ARROW — Shawnee’s 2019 fast-pitch campaign came to an abrupt end Wednesday at a Class 6A regional at Broken Arrow High School.
Shawnee dropped its opener to Bixby, 6-2, then was run-ruled 13-1 in five innings by top-seeded Broken Arrow.
Shawnee finished the season at 13-21.
Bixby never trailed after scoring four runs in the top of first inning on three walks, a hit and an error.
Shawnee starting pitcher Stormee Reed went 3 2/3 innings and Anneca Anderson hurled the last 3 1/3 innings.
The Lady Wolves scored two runs in the third.
Shawnee coach David Rolette said Laynie Rimer, Tatum Sparks, Carly Torbett, Halle Wilson and Anderson posted two hits on the day.
