Rev. J. Doyle Edwards to minister


Rev. Edwards began his ministry at 7 years of age. He has been an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God for over 26 years. His purpose in the ministry is healing for those who have been hurt emotionally and reaching souls for Christ in this last day.


Rev. and Mrs. Edwards have pastored four churches and evangelized for over 30 years.


Mrs. Edwards is a southern gospel songwriter/singer that has written over 40 songs. She has sung all over the U.S. (including Alaska), Canada and Trinidad. Her music has been played on the radio in several states, Switzerland and Trinidad. She has won the “music star of the stars ward” and was a finalist in the christian version of star search out of Houston, Tex.

One Oct. 12 at Liberty Chapel of Praise church a fundraiser of all you can eat pancakes breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and all proceeds go to a missionary going to Honduras in Jan. Mary Kim will be teaching music in the New Life Children’s Home.


$8 will get you in the door and you get to choose from 5 different pancakes or mix and match! You can choose from regular, chocolate chip, blueberry, banana or pumpkin. The breakfast also includes sausage patties, milk , orange juice and coffee. Come and join us for a great breakfast and meet Mary Kim. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church


Annual Conference set for Nov.


Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) invites you to attend our annual Conference on Nov. 1 and 2 at our facility located at 1001 S.E. Adams Blvd.


Rev. Peter VanDoodewaard, Pastor of Covenant Community OPC in Taylors S.C., with be the keynote speaker for this conference.


The theme of the conference will by “By Grace Alone: God’s Lovingkindness for His People”.


The first session of the conference will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening, Nov. 1. The message will be “What is Grace?”.


The second session will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, Nov. 2. The message will be “The Source of Grace”.


It will be followed by the third session at 10:30 a.m. with the message “Saved by Grace”.


There will be a question and answer session following the third session which will end the conference.


Rev. VanDoodewaard will also be preaching during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on Nov. 3 and at the 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon service at Westminster
