Tecumseh’s magic number is three.

Coach Chad Trahan’s Savages will launch Class 4A state fast-pitch championship play Thursday at 1:30 against Hilldale at the Ballfields at FireLake.

Tecumseh, 26-11, must win three games in three days to earn a state title.

On Tecumseh’s side of the bracket, Purcell will take on Skiatook at 11 a.m. Thursday.

On the bracket’s other side, Newcastle will square off with Muldrow at 4 and Lone Grove will meet Oologah-Talala at 6:30.

Friday’s semifinals will pit the Tecumseh-Hilldale winner vs. the Skiatook-Purcell victor at 11 a.m. and the Newcastle-Muldrow winner versus the Lone Grove-Oologah winner at 1:30.

Saturday’s championship game is set for noon.
