Heading into Saturday morning’s match, the Bison had yet to drop the next match following a loss, and Oklahoma Baptist made sure that trend continued with a 3-2 (25-9, 26-24, 18-25, 14-25, 15-2) win against Ouachita Baptist. The Bison are now 4-0 in matches following a loss this season.
A much cleaner match than the previous night, OBU swung .178 while laying down 59 kills on 180 attack attempts. The Bison were also effective on the serve, scoring eight service aces while only committing three reception errors.
Malia Leatherland led the way for OBU with 19 kills, and also added nine digs and three total blocks. Taneyah Brown also reached double figures with 11 kills. Rylen Moore handed out 32 assists while racking up 16 digs. Diana Carranza had a match-high 17 digs.
Oklahoma Baptist (17-4, 6-1 GAC) returns to action next Friday when they make the trip to Magnolia to take on Southern Arkansas at 6 p.m.
