Coach Chad Trahan’s Tecumseh Savages will launch Class 4A state fast-pitch championship play at 1:30 today against Hilldale at the Ballfields at FireLake.

Tecumseh, 26-11 and seeded sixth, must win three games in three days to earn a state title. Hilldale is seeded third.

On Tecumseh’s side of the bracket, second-seeded Purcell will take on seventh-seeded Skiatook at 11 a.m. Thursday.

On the bracket’s other side, top-seeded Newcastle will square off with eighth-seeded Muldrow at 4 and Lone Grove will meet Oologah-Talala at 6:30.

Friday’s semifinals will pit the Tecumseh-Hilldale winner vs. the Skiatook-Purcell victor at 11 a.m. and the Newcastle-Muldrow winner versus the Lone Grove-Oologah winner at 1:30.

“We are peaking at the right time,” Tecumseh head coach Chad Trahan said. “We are swinging the bats as good as we have all season. We are excited and ready to go.”

Saturday’s championship game is set for noon.
