Maud Public Schools received approval from Pottawatomie County Commissioners to purchase two new multifunctional activity buses in a special meeting Monday, Nov. 4. The district is using funds from its portion of the county's education sales tax for the purchase.

The buses will seat 14 passengers, will be used to drive students to various activities and anyone will be able to drive the vehicle as a specific license is not required to operate the buses.

According to commissioner Melissa Dennis, the buses are $58,598 a piece for a total of $116,196.
