As if scoring 36 points last Friday night wasn't enough.
Senior Bria Pelate fired in 41 points as the Liberty Academy girls blitzed Family of Faith, 77-39, in a battle of Shawnee private schools Tuesday night at Liberty's Hunter Gymnasium.
Pelate, who tallied 36 in a 69-62 home win over Paden on Friday, outdid herself on Tuesday as she knocked down 15-of-22 shots, including five 3-point baskets. She also collected five assists, recorded three steals and grabbed four rebounds.
She was joined in double figures by Madalyn Leader with 13 points and Jo Fletcher with 10 off the bench for the victorious Lady Eagles. Leader finished 6-of-11 from the floor with two steals and a pair of assists and Fletcher was 5-of-7 to go with five boards.
Summer Winter paced the Lady Warriors in a losing cause with 16 points and Skye Winter had 15.
Ironically, Family of Faith had just one 2-point field goal the entire night while nailing 11 3-point shots. The Lady Warriors actually started the game converting their first three shot attempts in snatching an early 9-2 advantage.
But the rest of the quarter belonged to Liberty Academy as the Lady Eagles scored 16 straight points to close the period and build a 19-8 lead through one quarter.
Liberty Academy then went on to a 22-12 second quarter in establishing a 40-21 halftime cushion and led 55-33 through three periods. The Lady Eagles then went on a 22-6 run through the fourth.
Isabel Blue added seven points and nine rebounds for Liberty Academy and Raley Fletcher chipped in six points and seven boards.

Only three other players got into the scoring column for the Eagles. Vincent Nguyen and David Brothers each tallied eight points off the bench as Nguyen also had a pair of steals with three rebounds while Brothers yanked down six boards.
Starter Cary Ayers added the rest of the five points for Liberty Academy to go with six rebounds and a blocked shot.

The Eagles, on the strength of a 15-6 fourth quarter, outscored the Warriors by a 28-18 margin through the second half.
