Get the facts on smoking and vaping in library program

The Shawnee Public Library hosts the informational presentation “Smoking and Vaping: Learn the Facts,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave.

It’s a look at the common dangers of smoking and vaping and the facts behind doing each. The program will be presented by Holly Gordon, Gateway to Prevention & Recovery Healthy Living Consultant.

This program is being conducted in advance of the Great American Smokeout, an initiative of the American Cancer Society that serves as an intervention point for those who are smokers.

This project is funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services Technology Act (LSTA), a federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
