A man from Chandler was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries after a collision on State Highway 18 and State Highway 18B, one mile south of Sparks in Lincoln County on Wednesday, Nov. 20, police said.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at about 6:32 p.m., Garrett Kline, 19, of Chandler, was transported by Chandler EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in good condition, but with multiple injuries.
In his report, Trooper Adam Post said Kline was traveling westbound in his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado on State Highway 18B when he failed to yield and pulled in front of a 2000 Ford Excursion driven by Cody Garretson, 39, of Meeker.
Post said in his report Garretson was traveling southbound on State Highway 18 when the collision occurred and Garretson was not injured.
The condition of Kline when he was driving is under investigation.
Post said the seat belts were equipped in both cars but were not in use by Kline. Airbags were equipped in both cars but not deployed, the weather was cloudy and the road was wet.
OHP was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department and Chandler EMS.
