A Shawnee man was taken to the hospital after a single car collision at US62 and County Road 3510 two miles west of Prague in Lincoln County Wednesday, Nov. 20.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at about 7:44 Cody Countz, 23, of Shawnee was transported by REACT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in good conditions with leg injuries.

In his report, Trooper Adam Post said Countz was traveling driving too fast in his 1994 Chevrolet Suburban for road conditions, departed roadway to the right, rolled five times into a tree line and was ejected an unknown distance.

Post said in his report there was odor of alcohol on Countz and the cause of the accident was drunk driving.

The seat belts were equipped but not in use, the airbags were equipped but but not deployed, the weather was cloudy and the road was wet.

OHP was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department and REACT.
