MEEKER — Lexi Boyer supplied 22 points and fellow junior teammate Cheyenne Banks added 15 Tuesday night as McLoud upended Meeker 58-50.
After leading 32-16 at the half, Meeker was out-scored 20-4 in the third quarter to force a 36-36 tie.
McLoud went 12 of 16 from the charity stripe down the stretch in out-scoring Meeker 22-14.
Hallee Winsea put in 11 points for McLoud. McLoud canned 21 of 30 foul shots while Meeker was 7 of 11.
Boyer had McLoud’s only 3-point field goal. Banks tallied 10 points in the second quarter.
Down by one point with five minutes to play, McLoud went on an 8-0 run to eke out Meeker 47-41.
McLoud’s only two 3-point field goals of the night, by Tristan Crook and Sammy Keller, came in the 8-0 spurt.
Keller led the Redskins with 15 points and Crook finished with 11.
Neither team fared well from the charity stripe as McLoud went 15 of 27 and Meeker was 13 of 29.
McLoud will play host to Okemah Friday night. Meeker will play Thursday in the Frontier Tournament.
