Flu shots and immunizations will be available at school sites during Shawnee Public Schools parent-teacher conferences, Feb. 18 and 20.

"This is a great opportunity for parents to get immunizations for their students as well as a flu shot while at the conference," said LaRita Haffey, district health nurse coordinator.

PassPort Health employees will be at each elementary site, Shawnee Middle School and Shawnee High School.

Shawnee Early Childhood Center will have a Caring Van available from 3 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 18 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 20.

Vaccines are filed to existing insurance, so participants should bring a current insurance card. Vaccines are covered for free for SoonerCare or uninsured children. Reduced cash pricing is available for uninsured adults. Parents must be present for any minor to receive a vaccine.
