The Shawnee Wolves and Lady Wolves close out the regular season tonight by taking on the Ponca City Wildcats and Lady Wildcats at Oklahoma State University's Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The girls' game is set to tip off at 6:30 p.m. with the boys' contest to follow at 8 p.m.

The Class 5A fourth-ranked Wolves bring a 17-5 record into tonight's action after knocking off 11th-ranked Guthrie, 51-47, at home on Tuesday night.

Jaylon Orange led the way with 17 points and a pair of steals for Shawnee. J'Briell Easley finished with 10 points. Karran Evans chipped in nine points and pulled down eight rebounds and Tanner Morris chipped in eight points and two steals.

Isaiah Willis scored off a put-back shot, drew the foul and completed the old-fashioned 3-point play to put the Wolves up by the four-point margin with 11.3 seconds to go.

Ponca City's boys are 9-13 and coming off a 72-50 loss at Bishop McGuinness last Friday.

The 17th-ranked Lady Wolves are coming off a thrilling 43-42 home victory over 16th-ranked Guthrie Tuesday night as Aubrie Megehee scored off an Esabelle Ramirez post feed with 29 seconds remaining with what proved to be the game-winning bucket.

Alesia Thomas popped in three treys and finished with 13 points for Shawnee. Ramirez followed with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting and Amaya Martinez tallied eight points and pulled down five rebounds.

Ponca City's Lady Wildcats are 16-5 and ranked 15th in Class 6A. They are coming off a 65-45 rout of Bishop McGuinness last Friday.

District playoff action begins tonight for Classes 2A, 3A and 4A. District games will also be played on Saturday. Classes A and B are currently in regionals.
