PERKINS — Down 22-14 at halftime, Seminole outscored Tulsa McLain 24-13 in the second half to register a 38-35 victory Friday in a Class 4A regional elimination game.
Seminole (15-9) prevailed despite trailing 18-7 after the first quarter.
Cepado Wilkins of Seminole recorded 10 of his game-leading 16 points in the second half. The Chieftains won the fourth quarter 12-5 as Wilkins and Bryce Marshal scored four points each.
Marshall finished with 11 points, including Seminole’s sole trey.
McLain crippled itself at the free-throw line at 9 of 18. Seminole hit 9-of-11 free throws.
Tyree Brooks was McLain’s only double-figure scorer with 13.
McLain also hit just one 3-point shot.
Seminole will play for a berth in next week’s area tournament when they take on Tulsa Victory Christian at 3 p.m. Saturday at Perkins.
