Senior Conner Cheney is a leader at McLoud High School and maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA.

He has been selected as one of The Shawnee News-Star and Patriot Auto Group Students of the Month for February and is now in the running to win a car.

“He is a caring, trustworthy, responsible and respectful young man,” McLoud High School Guidance Counselor Amy Bump said. “He has shown that he cares about academics.”

Ranked the top of his class, Bump said Cheney can be counted on to help in any situation.

“He has completed various volunteer hours for National Honor Society,” Bump said.

The recipient of various academic awards, Bump said Cheney received an academic letter jacket in November.

“He shows respect to everyone,” she said. “He is an example for all our students.”

Bump said Cheney is a great team player who contributes to his classes.

“He is an excellent member of our school,” she said.

Cheney wants to major in Pharmacy in college, she said.
