Margaret "Sue" Booth Hanks
Margaret "Sue" Booth Hanks, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed from this life into the presence of the Lord on February 3, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87. She was born in Onley, Oklahoma on February 26, 1933 to Ben and Mary Booth (Lasater). She was retired from Southwestern Bell after over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Clyde Hanks; by her parents; two brothers, Boyd Wayne Booth and Jack Booth; and two sisters, Beverly Fountain and Janie Ringer.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Edelen and husband Phil; three grandchildren Clark Edelen and wife Kristie, Spencer Edelen, and Paige Edelen; the light of the last year of her life, great-grandson Hank Samuel Edelen; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by special family members, Euna Marie Dodge, Reve Hanks, and Pam Williams, as well as very special friends.
A come-and-go visitation and reception will be from 6-8pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond. A service honoring her life will be at 11am on Friday, February 12th at Quail Springs Baptist Church with burial following at Gable Cemetery near Meeker, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cherokee Hills Baptist Church Card Ministry or the Adam's Assistance Fund through Baptist Village.
