Stanley Jefferson Loman Jr.
McLoud - Stanley Jefferson Loman Jr., known to many as Junior, passed away on March 6, 2021 in McLoud, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Stanley and Elsie, siblings Bobby and John Walter "Jay", wife Betty, and daughter Karen "KC" Corley. He is survived by his caring daughter Kathy Burris and husband Steven; five grandchildren April Rose and husband Robert, Lindsey Ramseyer and husband Matthew, Kylee, Abigail, and Matthew Burris; one great-grandchild Kroy; two siblings Dorothy Horton and Nancy Rice and many adoring nieces and nephews.
If you knew Junior you knew that he loved his family, farming, and fishing. He and Betty were soulmates that were fortunate to have over 50 years of marriage. They loved spending time together on the farm with their daughters and eventual grandchildren. During most days he would balance raising cattle, pigs, and horses with tending his farm. Whether it was raking or baling hay or combining wheat there were no shortage of chores to do and he truly enjoyed the grind and lifestyle of farming. It allowed him to do what he loved with the people he loved. Most nights you would find Betty, Karen, and Kathy with him in the fields way past dark. Junior worked hard but when he had downtime you could find him and Betty playing cards and dominoes with long-time friends. He also loved coon hunting with friends or fishing on the dock or bank of Bell Cow Lake. He shared his love of both activities with his family and both are traditions that live on today.
His presence will be missed around the dinner table, up in the fields, and out at the lake but we will always have amazing memories with our beloved dad, cherished grandfather, adored brother, and larger-than-life uncle.
A memorial service will take place at the Kickapoo Friends Center located at 332118 E 1070 Rd. McLoud, OK 74851 on Friday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m.
