Patsy Jean Misa
Shawnee - Patsy Jean Misa passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021. Patsy was born October 22, 1935. She was the baby of six children. Her parents were Patrick Valentine and Mary Ellen Kelley.
After high school, Patsy married Billy Lee Burton. They had two children before he died in a work accident. She remarried and continued to build a family in Shawnee. Patsy and her children lived next door to her parents which made raising a family fun and close knit.
In March of 1976, she married the love of her life, Theodore (Ted) Misa. Together they raised and loved a house full of kids. Patsy loved going on many adventures and vacations with Ted and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Patsy was involved in her Church and Sunday school class at Immanuel Baptist Church. Patsy enjoyed going to Sunday school parties with her friends and going to the movies.
After Ted died in 2010, she went to live at Primrose Retirement Community in 2019, where she made many new friends. Patsy was the life of the party wherever she was. Patsy's favorite times were spent with family celebrating many birthdays, graduations, weddings, and holidays.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy is survived by her children Robin and John Weger, Debbie and Roxie Terry, Kelley and Lee Allen, Tracie and Bobby Neal, David and Vicky Misa, and Mary-Anne and Todd Mikish; grandchildren Lori and Chris Manson, Charles Mann, Sarah and Jeff Barham, Patrick and Kelly Buttram, Brian and Heather Weger, Jeff Mann, Amy and Braden Watkins, Johnna and Joey Wallace, Kody and Kenna Allen, Kaylee and Tyler Wilburn, Heather and Scott Comer, Elizabeth Neal, Andrew Neal, Cade Mikish, Kenzie Mikish, Kylie Mikish, Cassandra Misa, Sylvia Misa, Johnny Stretch, Dena Krautlarger, and Destiny Terry; great grandchildren Coby, Creed, Jaycee, Alex, Ethan, Jaxson, Blake, Ryder, Ledger, Harper, Raven, Buddy, Jake, A.J., Liam, Gavin, Nora, Karter, Sutton, Hyatt, Hukston, Chelsea, and Gabriel; and special nephew Bob Mullinax.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 5-7 PM at Resthaven. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.
