Shawnee - James Eddie Conley left his earthly body to be with the Lord on June 1, 2021. He was born June 4, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to James Everett Conley and Maxine Laverne Pope.
James is preceded in death by his parents James Everett Conley and Maxine Laverne Pope Conley.
James is survived by his loving wife Karla Conley of Shawnee, OK; son James "Jimmy" E. Conley Jr. (Mary) of McLoud, OK; daughter Kristen Laughlin (Jimmy) of Thomas, OK; sister Anlisabeth Sanderson of Del City, OK; five grandchildren; four nieces; three nephews; mother in-law JoAnn Barrientez; family members Marla and Paul Sewell, Dina and Kevin Hendricks, Greg Barrientez and Darla Knight; along with his traveling companions, Monty and Carol Bailey, and Chester "Frog" and Barbara Owens.
James graduated from Del City public schools in 1977. James married the love of his life, Karla Conley on July 25, 1980 in Del City, Oklahoma. Together, they had two beautiful children.
James went into aircraft maintenance and eventually became a Shop Peener and Shift Leader at Tinker Air Force Base. His hobbies included attending the grandkids ballgames, golf, baseball, softball, and bowling. He has bowled two 300 score games. One of his greatest achievements, besides bowling, was winning second place in the 1970 Little League World Series. His Proudest moments were the birth of his children and grandchildren, his son's military service, his daughter's college graduation, and watching his granddaughter Maddie winning state championship for softball this year.
James had a strong Baptist faith and truly loved his Lord and his church family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church in Earlsboro, Oklahoma on June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to the church.
