Paul Allen Armentrout, Sr.
Shawnee - Paul Allen Armentrout, Sr., 56, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on April 22, 2021. Paul was born on February 6, 1965, to John Armentrout and Gloria Patterson in Columbus, Ohio.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, John Armentrout, and sister, Michelle Armentrout. He is survived by sons, Sgt. Paul Armentrout, Jr., USMC, (KristaLea) of Anchorage, Alaska, and Matthew Armentrout of Austin, Texas; daughter, Ashley Spencer (Derek) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; former wife, Mindy Armentrout of Shawnee, Oklahoma; mother, Gloria Patterson (Ralph) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother, Timothy Armentrout of Denver, Colorado; 3 grandsons, 1 step-grandson, 5 nephews and 2 great-nephews.
Paul joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas from 1983-1985 before pursuing a career as a truck driver, and later worked as a Quality Auditor at Wolverine Tube Inc. in Shawnee for 22 years.
Paul enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending NASCAR races, and was an avid Bronchos fan. Paul's favorite pastime was four-wheeling or off-roading in his Jeep. He was a member of the Red Dirt Jeep Club and received an Official Badge of Honor for completing the Rubicon Ridge course at Superlift ORV Park in Arkansas. He was also an active member of the Tranquil Moments Water Garden Society and participated in several pond builds and community service projects.
A memorial to honor Paul's life will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021, at 1:00 PM at AE Funeral Services located at 603 W. Independence St. Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
