C.L. Richards

Shawnee - C.L. Richards was born on February 25, 1957 and left this world May 29, 2021. He was born to his loving parents Bob and Evelyn Richards who both passed when he was very young. C.L. grew up in Shawnee, the youngest member of the infamous Richards' Gang. He played basketball for Pleasant Grove while quickly learning all things construction from his dad Bob. C.L. owned and operated Quality Construction of Tulsa for over 40 years. He was also a realtor and owned a pawn shop at Grand Lake. C.L. had many hobbies including restoring antique cars and airplanes, boxing, riding motorcycles, wheeling and dealing, woodcarving, watching Bonanza, and smoking cigars with his sister while sanding cars.

C.L. was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Evelyn Richards as well as five siblings, Andrew, Robert, Fred, Charlene, and Johnny Mae. He is survived by his son Chris and grandson Hunter, as well as family members Roberta, Marty, Ronnie, Barbara, Nancy, Justice, Matilda, Noah, and Kenny, and dear friends Jim, Nancy, and Chuck.

Graveside services will be Monday June 14th at 3pm at Resthaven Shawnee in The Garden of Love with a farewell dinner at Tecumseh Lake to follow. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Integris Hospice House or the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
