William Roland Rogers
William Roland Rogers went to his eternal home on June 30, 2021 in Shawnee, OK. He was born November 11, 1939 in Phoenix, AZ to Edward Crafton and Juanita (Phillips) Rogers. He received his Associate's Degree from Seminole College and his Cosmetology Degree in California.
He married Judith Hope Nelson on February 6, 1971 in Seminole, OK. They had four children together.
He worked as a hairdresser for many years after retiring from the Air Force and the Army.
William was a jack of all trades and loved to be creative. He created art through painting and drawings, woodcarving, and making knives. William worked on guns and gardened. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
William was a member of the Gideons and a member of the Grace Community Church for 26 years. He was a devout Christian and devoted much of his time as a prison minister.
Some of his achievements was getting his second degree black belt in karate and learning Hebrew through his studies.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Juanita Rogers; brother Doug and his wife Retha Rogers; and sister Lori Rogers.
He is survived by his wife Judith Rogers; daughter Charlene Jordan and husband Tim of El Reno, OK; daughter Bobbi Roger of Pottsboro, TX; son Billy Rogers and wife Angelia of Cleo Springs, OK; son Eric Rogers and wife Misty of Tecumseh, OK; grandchildren Tiffany Eaton and husband Josh, Shawn Hudson, Josh Hudson, Brant Rogers, Daxton Hurst and wife Paige, Trevor Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Amanda Swain and husband Kendell, Becky Muncey and husband Franklin.
Visitation is to be held July 7, 2021 from 4-8pm and the funeral service is July 8, 2021 at 2pm both at Resthaven Funeral Home.
