Shawnee - Jimmie "Buster" Marshall Roye Sr., 73 years old from Shawnee, OK, went home to the Lord on Nov. 15, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 8, 1948 in Lampasas Texas. He spent his youth travelling to many states and countries around the world with his father, James Roye, and mother, Arlene Roye, while working with Brown & Root construction building powerplants. He moved to McLoud, OK in 1968 and was drafted into the Army and served during the Vietnam war. After his time in the Army, he planted his roots, married, and raised his family in McLoud. He retired in 2009 from Tinker AFB as a Branch Chief in the MAD/TIP organization where he was a 3rd level supervisor with oversight over many specialty trade skills.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, 3 sons, their spouses and eight grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony for Jimmie will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Following the ceremony, Jimmie will be laid to rest at McLoud Cemetery with military honors. A family visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4pm-6pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105 in memory of Jimmie M. Roye, Sr.
