Delbert Lynn Alldredge was born March 29, 1942. Died November 13, 2021. He was 79 years old.

Lynn was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to a loving mother and father. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1960. Lynn married the love of his life, Jean on September 16, 1966. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1969 with a degree in accounting. He spent 50 plus years of his life as a CPA. He grew a successful CPA practice in Oklahoma City where he worked for over 25 years with his son and business partner Jason.

Lynn was a devoted Christian; He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved to teach and study God's word. Lynn loved his wife Jean and his family immensely. Two of his favorite things were going to church and spending time with his family.

Lynn enjoyed many things and lived a full life. He had many hobbies over the years from gardening, to boating and camping in his younger years to weekends at their lake house with his family and friends. He also loved the classic cars from his youth and owned many through the years. He loved to go for drives in them around Shawnee, enter them into local car shows, and talk car talk to other enthusiasts. He loved history, especially his family history. Lynn enjoyed telling stories about his ancestors. Later in his life, he enjoyed volunteering at The Shawnee Rescue Mission, and the Pottawatomie County Historical Museum where he was a board member. He was a proud American, loved his city, Shawnee, and was an avid supporter of the second amendment. He was also very creative and had artistic talents. He enjoyed designing and building many things. He and his wife Jean worked together to design and build 6 homes and even built their first lake house themselves from the ground up at Twin Lakes in Crescent, Oklahoma in 1982. Lynn loved OU football and we have many memories of watching games together as a family – Cheering on the Sooners. He loved going to the Lake, especially the Eufaula Lake house with his kids and the grandkids. He enjoyed going out to eat with his wife Jean, and for family and friends to join them and socialize -- Mexican food and anything with bacon were his favorites.

Lynn was always very active and was a very hard worker all his life and was a great provider for his family. He enjoyed solving people's problems and offered an immeasurable amount of advice over his years to those seeking his wisdom. He was never flashy or a show-off, but instead valued God, people, relationships, memories, history, and integrity. He was a modest man who did things because he enjoyed and valued them. He taught his children and grandchildren the importance of hard work, good character, and ethical behavior. Lynn was a leader, a teacher, a coach, a confidant, a trusted friend. He was always available to his family and friends whether it was to lend a helping hand, or a listening ear, or a word of wise advice or encouragement. He enjoyed close relationships with each one of them. He was a great man who was admired, trusted, and respected by many. Lynn was blessed with a family and many friends who loved him dearly.

Lynn is survived by his wife Jean Alldredge, son Jason Alldredge and daughter-in-law Polly Alldredge, daughter Jamie Johnson and son-in-law Jay Johnson; granddaughter Madelyn Alldredge, grandson Justin Johnson, granddaughter Victoria Alldredge. He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Linnie Alldredge, and his brother Don Alldredge.
