James Willie Wallace, Jr. was born on September 22, 1949, to James Willie Wallace, Sr. and Mattie Lee Wallace in Little Rock, Arkansas. James, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, his youngest sister, Dorothy Mucker and a younger brother, Jimmy Wallace.

James, Jr. attended Dunbar elementary, junior high and high school in Shawnee, Oklahoma. His very first job other than neighborhood odd jobs was as an elevator operator at the now historic Aldridge Hotel in downtown Shawnee. His work history is long and varied, including car detailing, construction and general labor.

James loved the Lord and recommitted his life to Christ under the auspices of the Garden of Grace Community Church of God in Christ, Oklahoma City, OK. He enjoyed a special son relationship with the Lord as witnessed by his ready testimony of God’s goodness and grace and guidance in his daily life and the miracle of salvation.

Our beloved Brother and Uncle and Friend (‘WALLACE’ as he was known to his friends) took flight for Glory early Thursday morning, December 30, 2021.

James, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory sisters, Ocie Anthony (Tyler, Texas); Tereatha Ollison (Monticello, Arkansas); Bettie Isiaka (Los Angeles, CA); Mae Parks (Seminole, OK); Ann Wallace-Thompson (Shawnee, OK); brothers, Joe Wallace (Bakersfield, CA); Sammy Wallace, Sr. (Oklahoma City, OK); Cohn Wallace (Oklahoma City, OK); David Wallace (Bakersfield, CA); Alan Wallace (Lawton, OK), Special Grandson Johnny Wilkerson, Jr. and “friends-like-brothers: Victor Curtis and Johnny Wilkerson, Sr. and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Celebratory Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at A E Funeral Services, 603 W. Independence Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
