Robert D. “Bob” Bailey, 87, of Tecumseh, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, in Shawnee.
He was born April 28, 1933, to James A. and Evaline (Buckley) Bailey in Morris, Oklahoma.
Bob was raised in Morris, Wagner and Okmulgee, and traveled a lot as child with his family. He has been a resident of Tecumseh for the past 35 years.
He married Deborah Jean Hill on Dec. 27, 1983, in Texas.
Bob owned and operated B & B Auto Repair in Shawnee for many years.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Tecumseh.
Bob loved fishing, building, gardening, church and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Evaline Bailey; two sisters, Anna Belle Wales and Wanda Wagner; and four brothers, Calvin Bailey, Floyd Bailey, Donald Lee Bailey and James Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Bailey of the home; three daughters, Freda and Paul Goss of Bristow, Patricia Funk of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Linda and Mike Neal of Okemah, Oklahoma; two sons, Gerald Bailey of Bristow and Anthony Crabb of Norman; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Monroe and Laverne Bailey of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Edward Bailey of Morris; one sister, Laurie Cammack, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and other extended family and friends.
The family has requested that memorials be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 in lieu of flowers.
At the request of the Family and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC and State of Oklahoma Regulations and Guidelines, masks will be mandatory when paying respects during visitation at the funeral home and attending the graveside service.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28, and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Graveside service will be at Tecumseh Cemetery with Reverend Fred Owens, Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God, and Reverend Mike Neal, Victory Christian Church, Okemah, officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
