A two-run shot by Logan Carter in the top of the ninth helped catapult Dale to a 10-3 win over Lawton MacArthur at Mustang Thursday.
Tied 3-3 at the conclusion of the eighth, the Pirates rallied with seven runs in the ninth to get out ahead in a big way.
Hunter Sanford was 4-for-5 in the game with a single, double and two triples. Maddux Betterton went 2-for-5 with a double and Blake McQuain had a double.
Carter was awarded the win on the mound with four knockouts in 3 2/3 innings, giving up four hits. McQuain pitched for 5 1/3 innings, beaning two batters, allowing two hits and striking out seven.
The Pirates get their first win to move to 1-2 on the season. They will be back in action today against Hobart in Yukon at 2:30.
