MEEKER – McLoud went 1-1 Thursday in a triangular against Meeker and Seminole at Meeker. The Lady Redskins lost to Meeker 7-6 before topping Seminole 6-2.

Gabby Sears' pitching performance was once again hindered by mistakes on the defense behind her. Sears gave up one earned run, struck out seven and walked six.

Karlie Norwood had three singles and scored one run for McLoud. Jessie Wooten went 1-for-2 with a double, sac fly and two RBI and Karlee Higdon had two singles with an RBI.

Madison Hedge went 3-4 with two runs to lead Meeker and Madison Bouy was 3-5. Kristin Park had two hits and Darien Edmonds had two hits with a double for two runs.

Shyann Shipman earned the win on the mound in the Seminole game. She gave up seven hits and walked one.

Norwood had a triple and had two RBI in the game. Katelyn Hoover and Wooten each doubled to bring in a run.

McLoud will play Harrah on the road Monday and host a tournament Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
