MAUD — Tarin Dubler fanned 16 Maud batters Tuesday, igniting second-ranked (Class B) Asher to a 5-2 victory.

Dubler scattered nine hits, walked two and hit a batter in moving to 17-0.

Maud, ranked ninth in Class B, led 2-0 when Asher scored five times in the fifth.

Asher, 17-0, recorded eight hits with Dubler and Jordan Odell notching two singles apiece. Dubler also drove in a run.

Rayanna Cheatwood of Asher contributed a double while Madi Hamilton drove in two runs.

Teammates Mikayla Lehman and Mikaila Brooks each drove in a run.

Jaycee Gamble took the pitching loss as Maud was charged with four errors.

Asher will collide with Weleetka at 11 a.m. Thursday in the opening round of the New Lima Tournament.
