HARRAH — Tecumseh fell into an early hole and couldn’t quite get back to the top in dropping a 47-36 decision to District 4A-2 foe Harrah Thursday night.

Harrah sprinted to a 28-6 lead and led 34-13 at the intermission.

Scoring runs of 26 and 5 yards by Corban Stagner got Tecumseh as close as. 41-28 in the fourth quarter before the teams swapped touchdowns to end the game.

Harrah rushed for 332 yards on 33 carries as Blaine Martin riddled Tecumseh for 205 yards on 13 attempts. Martin launched the scoring with a 55-yard run and closed the Panthers’ scoring with a 40-yard run.

Tecumseh was also efficient on the ground with 254 yards on 43 attempts.

Stagner, a 180-pound senior, averaged 7.6 yards per carry as he rolled up 121 yards on 16 attempts.

Quarterback Brayden James of Tecumseh added 114 yards (23 carries), including touchdown runs of 6 and 1 yards. James also completed 23 of 38 passes for 178 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown to Dylan Morris for Tecumseh’s first touchdown.

Dalton Rickey was Tecumseh’s leading receiver with six catches for 59 yards. Landon Jones and Morris caught four passes each for the Savages for 47 and 45 yards, respectively.

Alex Cox of Harrah caught five passes for 117 yards.

Jaden Rausch of Harrah had touchdown runs of 2,5, 20 and 22 yards en route to 114 yards.

Harrah didn’t commit a turnover and didn’t punt in the game.

Tecumseh, in dropping to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in 4A-2, recorded just one turnover.

Harrah improved to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the district.

Tecumseh will continue district play Thursday at Bethany. The kickoff is set for 7:30.
