SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour will be hosting the final day of its Tour Championship today at Shawnee Country Club. Players from Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Nebraska will be participating, including Shawnee's Josh Gentry.
Gentry, a member of the Wolves golf team shot a 73 (+2) to tie with Edmond's Connor Wilson for sixth after the first day of play Saturday in the boys 15-18 flight. Lane Wallace from Yukon led with two-under par and Zac Owens from Mooreland shot at par with a 71 for second.
Jordan Wilson from Edmond led the boys 12-14 flight with a plus-5 and Madison Smith from Norman shot a plus-6 to lead the girls 12-18 flight.
Tee times begin at 8:30 in the morning. Several of the players participating are expected to play golf intercollegiately. Gentry will tee off along side Davis Woodliff of Tulsa and Owasso's Ritchie Matt at 11:57.
