RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The coaches of the Great American Conference selected Oklahoma Baptist University sophomore Isaiah Mallory as a First-Team All-GAC running back, the conference announced Tuesday.
Mallory finished second in the GAC in rushing yards per game at 108 and set the OBU record with 1,083 for the season. The 5-9 sophomore from Aledo, Texas, became just OBU's second 1,000-yard rusher despite missing a full game and seeing limited action in the season finale. Mallory scored nine touchdowns rushing and a 10th receiving. His longest run of the season was an 86-yard run, which was the longest in school history.
Mallory was the only Bison football player honored this season, but he is the first to be selected above the honorable mention level in OBU's two years in the league.
