NEW LIMA — A second quarter spree by New Lima put Earlsboro in a hole it couldn’t climb out of Tuesday night.

Earlsboro trailed 18-12 after one quarter, then was outscored 24-9 in the second quarter en route to a 77-63 defeat.

Kobe Smith topped Earlsboro’s scoring with 21 points. Elijah Stargell finished with 17.

For New Lima, Micah Lena collected 23 points and teammate Landon Madkins netted 21.

Earlsboro, ranked fifth in Class B, will entertain Moss Friday night as part of homecoming activities.

New Lima is ranked fifth in Class A.
