OKLAHOMA CITY- Mid-America Christian University (Okla.) (12-3, 3-1 SAC) came out firing on all cylinders, Saturday afternoon. The Lady Evangels rushed out to an early 10-2 lead in the opening minutes of the contest, before the Cavaliers went on an 8-0 run to make it a two point game. This would be as close as the Cavaliers would get though. Saint Gregory's University (2-9, 0-4 SAC) turned the ball over 13 times in the first half, and 24 times total on the day. MACU out-rebounded SGU, 53 to 38, with 23 of the 53 rebounds being offensive rebounds for the Lady Evangels.

As a team, MACU leads the nation in defensive rebounds per game, and they're second in the nation in total rebounds per game. They're number three in scoring offense per game and they're ninth in offensive rebounds per game. Sarai Rodrigues (22 pts.), Jaime Lamb (18 pts.) led the Lady Evangels in points, while Mykayla Flores distributed 8 assists on the afternoon. Brittany Thompson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Jessica Fairley also recorded 10 points.

The Cavaliers were led by Kylee Tatum (SR/Bethel, Okla.)'s 22 point performance. This is the third time this season that Tatum has scored 20 points or more. Karley English (FR/Little Axe, Okla.) had a career day, by nearly posting a double-double, scoring 12 points and collecting 9 rebounds, both of which are season highs for the Freshman. Danielle Butler (SR/Ft. Worth, Texas) matched a season high with 10 points.

SGU will return home, to Sumner Field House, to face University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, on Thurs. Jan. 12 at 6 p.m.
