ASHER — Pitcher Trevor Martin was benefited by a 13-hit Asher attack Monday as the Indians whipped New Lima 19-11.

The game was stopped after six innings on the eight-run rule.

Asher, which led 7-2 after three innings, surrendered six runs in the top of the fourth but rebounded with 12 runs over the next three innings.

Martin, just a freshman, surrendered seven hits, fanned 13 and walked two.

Four Asher players — Preston Patten, Brock Williamson, Braden Sanders and Jayse Beverage – constructed two hits apiece. Patten and Williamson doubled.

New Lima was guilty of six errors while Asher was credited with four.

Asher (11-7) will travel to Konawa today for a 4 p.m. matchup.
