STROUD — McLoud went 1-2 Monday at the 66 Conference Tournament.

The Lady Redskins opened the day with a five-inning 13-3 setback to Okemah. Callie Cardin and Gabby Sears were the offensive ringleaders for McLoud with a double and single apiece. Karlee Higdon added two singles in McLoud’s 10-hit attack and also drove in two runs.

McLoud followed with a 13-9 triumph over Seminole after jumping out to an 11-3 lead after four innings. McLoud finished with 21 hits as Amber Cribbs led the way with two doubles, a single and two RBI.

Makyna Higdon and Adrianna Polling added three singles each for the winners. Karlee Higdon chipped in with a triple while Rachele Stephens recorded two hits, including a double, and knocked in three runs.

McLoud capped its day with an 11-1 defeat to Stroud. McLoud tallied its run in the second as Amber Cribbs’ sacrifice fly drove in Destiny Burge. Cardin posted a third-inning double.

McLoud, eliminated from the tournament by virtue of two losses, will be idle until Thursday when it begins play in the FireLake Festival. McLoud will meet Asher at 3:15 and Wilson at 7. The Lady Redskins will be among the Hall of Fame Tournament field Friday, challenging Jones at 11:30 a.m. and Westmoore at 2:30.
