ADA — Down 11-4 after three innings, Tecumseh clawed back only to lose a 12-10 decision to Ada Monday.

Ada outhit the visitors 12-6 with Allen Maloy leading the way at 3 of 5, including a home run and five runs batted in.

After scoring twice in the fifth inning and four times in the top of the sixth, Tecumseh was within 12-10 but failed to score in the seventh.

Payton Cooper and Taylor Bingham had a double apiece for the Savages.

Tecumseh was the recipient of eight walks with Cooper drawing three.

Kameron Permetter and Kullen Meadows both scored twice for the visitors.

Tecumseh employed four pitchers with starter Tyler Thompson going just 2 1/3 innings and taking the loss. He was followed by Permetter, Meadows and Geoffrey Smith.

Tecumseh falls to 7-19.
