The Maud Lady Tigers earned their way to the state tournament with a pair of wins over Stuart and Ripley in their regional Thursday. The girls narrowly survived a 15-14 win over Stuart to advance to the final where they took down Ripley 10-6.

Jada Wright homered and went 3-3 to drive in three runs in the Stuart victory. Britni Bailey and Jocee Sparks brought in three runs apiece and Megan Willis drove in two. Sparks and Willis each doubled twice and Bailey had one double.

The Lady Tigers led 15-8 going to the bottom of the sixth, but Stuart went on a six-run rally to get within one.

Willis, Bailey and Sparks each hit a triple against Ripley and Jaycee Gamble went 1-4 and drove in three runs. Bailey and Sparks brought home two runs each.

The Lady Tigers will face Binger-Oney at 10 a.m. Tuesday for their opening game of the Class 2A state tournament at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
