SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball incoming freshman Andrea Redmond shined in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State game Tuesday, earning MVP honors.
Redmond played three positions for the small school East team, finishing with 12 kills and 27 digs to lead the East to a 25-27, 25-23, 18-25 victory.
The 5-8 standout from Victory Christian started the match as an outside hitter, serving five straight points to begin the first set. She also appeared as a middle defender and spent a long stretch in the third set as a defensive specialist.
OBU will begin the 2017 season on September 1 at the Embry-Riddle Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida.
