LATTA — The Lady Pirates of Dale required just three innings Friday to bomb Latta 16-0.
After scoring once in the first inning, Dale netted six runs in the second and nine runs in the third.
Dale finished with 12 hits, including a Delanie Manning home run on the second pitch of the game.
Skyler Thompson ripped a 2-run double while teammates Montana Lam, Emmie Idelman, Rylie Premo and London Calvillo finished with two singles apiece.
Manning, in three mound innings, didn’t permit a hit and fanned four. Latta’s only base runner came off an error.
Manning improved to 6-0 while Dale moved to 8-0.
The Lady Pirates will face 4:30 home tests Monday and Tuesday versus Holdenville and Depew respectively. Thursday, coach Andy Powell’s team will travel to Tecumseh. The junior-varsity game is set for 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 6.
Dale will play two games Friday at the Oklahoma State University Festival in Stillwater. The Pirates will meet Sand Springs at 12:30 and Putnam City at 5:30.
