SHAWNEE- Bethel fastpitch fell to Hilldale 6-1 and Heavener 5-2 Friday in the FireLake Festival.

Hilldale jumped to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning and two more in the third.

Catcher Rian Gamble scored the Lady Wildcats' lone run off of a Reanna McGowen ground ball in the bottom of the third.

Mya Green and Rayah Mayo recorded one and two hits respectively.

Maylin Hladik gave up six runs, one earned, on eight hits.

Karlie Lamb drove in Hladik on a grounder for a single in the bottom of the fourth and Gamble came in on an error in the fifth.

Hladik went 2-3 to lead the team and pitched for two innings to give up two runs on four hits. Jordyn Zachary tossed for three innings and fanned four batters but gave up three runs.

Bethel will play back-to-back games today beginning at 10:00 a.m. against Panama and 11:30 against Clinton to round out the Firelake Festival.
