BETHEL ACRES — There’s not many days when a team has just five hits but scores 20 runs.

But that’s what transpired Monday as Bethel riddled McGuinness 20-3 in a game limited to 4 ½ innings.

Bethel, 10-7, drew 17 walks to improve to 10-7.

Karlie Lamb recorded Bethel’s only extra-base hit with a double. Maylin Hladik stole three bases. Brooklyn Giddens and Reanna McGowen had a stolen base apiece.

Bethel employed three pitchers, including Hladik as the starter. She didn’t give up a run in two innings while permitting one hit. Hladik whiffed five and didn’t walk a batter.

Paige Hubler, who went the next two innings, surrendered three runs but only one was earned. Hubler allowed one hit, fanned one and walked three.

Rian Gamble gave up one hit and had a strikeout in the fifth inning.

Bethel’s next action will be next Tuesday when it hosts Shawnee at 4:30.
