The Shawnee fast-pitch team capped off a successful season with a stream of All-District honors after District 5A-3 players of the year were released Wednesday. The team cruised through regionals and into the state tournament where they lost in their opener against Piedmont.

Baylie Enright was named Pitcher of the Year for her success from the circle for the Lady Wolves. She finished the season with a record of 22-7 and had a 2.5 ERA. She struck out 134 batters and walked 57 in 190 innings pitched.

Battery-mate and lone senior Tiara Blackshire was named All-District catcher with a batting average of .333 and slugging percent of .870. Tatum Sparks, a freshman Oklahoma State commit, was named All-District utility with a batting average of .478 and an .870 slugging percentage and led the team in home runs.

Center fielder Saidey Smith , third baseman Kristin Haddox, first baseman Carly Torbett and second baseman Laynie Rimer were each named honorable mention.

The Lady Wolves finished the season with a record of 24-11 and are expected to return most of their players next year. Blackshire was the only senior on the team.
