The Seminole boys took third place in their Class 4A state cross country race Saturday at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee. Racers from Seminole, Meeker, Chandler, Bethel, McLoud and Maud were on hand running for the top spot.

Richard Bolt finished in 14th to lead the Seminole boys with a time of 17:29.85 in a pool of 164. Daquery Sewell (17:50.49) finished 18th and Jake Lombard (18:12.19) took 26th. Darius Sewell (18:22.28), Tanner Hoskinson (18:28.27), Andre Choate (19:00.35) and Michael Tiger (21:02.33) also raced to add valuable points to the Chieftains total.

McLoud's Ryon Dalrymple came in 24th with a time of 18:08.42 and teammate Pierre Garcia finished in 19:00.85 for 54th. Colton Ingmire raced for Bethel and finished in 19:12.31 for 69th.

In the girls 4A race, McLoud's Lelise Hands set a new personal best with a time of 13:01.90 for 18th. Seminole finished 13th as a team and Bethel took 19th.

The Lady Chieftains were led by Jamie Stafford in 36th with a time of 13:29.66 followed by Cienna Works at 13:34.13. Autumn Ingersoll led the way for Bethel with a time of 14:21.09 for 78th.

In the 3A boys race, Meeker finished 18th as a team.

Justis Nelson finished 86th in a time of 20:18.37 to lead Meeker and Darren Carter finished in 20:27.47 for 89th.

Chandler's Brayden Dankner finished in finished 48th with a time of 19:10.67 and Konnor Almand completed the race in 21:10.70. Claire Norell raced for the Chandler girls and finished in 14:44.07 for 89th.

Cassidy Harmon represented Maud solo in the Class 2A girls race and finished in 13:45.68 for 34th.
