EARLSBORO – The Earlsboro Lady Wildcats picked up a win on homecoming as they upended Macomb 44-27 Tuesday night.
Macomb jumped out to a 7-5 lead in the first quarter thanks to six points from Ashton Powell. Macomb's other point came at the hands of Kelsey Dillon. Earlsboro's Kila Wild led the Lady Wildcats with three points in the quarter.
The Lady Hornets started the second quarter on a 6-3 run, led by MaeLee Hancock scoring all six points. Earlsboro managed five points in the quarter, all scored by Casey Clark.
Macomb led 15-11 at halftime.
The Lady Wildcats started the third quarter on a 9-2 run in which Wild scored four and Anesah Lindsey three. Earlsboro took its first lead of the game, 20-17. Earlsboro extended the lead to 32-20 at the end of the third quarter behind eight points from Lindsey.
Earlsboro outscored Macomb 21-5 in the third quarter.
Sophomore Abbey McCarroll kept the momentum going in Earlsboro's favor in the fourth as she made the first basket to extend the lead to 34-21.
The next trip up the floor, Macomb's Kelsey Dillon answered back with a trey and the Lady Wildcats led 34-24.
Earlsboro outscored Macomb 12-7 in the fourth quarter.
Clark led Earlsboro with 13 points. McCarroll joined her in double figures with 12.
Dillon led Macomb with 10 points.
