OKLAHOMA CITY – The No. 2 in Class 2A Lady Pirates of Dale were handed their first loss of the season by No. 1 Christian HeritageAcademy, 49-40 Friday and the No. 7 Dale boys lost to No. 8 CHA 47-34.

The Lady Pirates struggled to put the ball in the basket for their first loss of the season and were 3-17 from beyond the arch.

Claire Chastain led with 15 points, six rebounds and three blocks. Lindy Nowakowski had 11 points and five rebounds and Mikayla Rutland had eight points and five boards. Rylee Thompson and Elaine Witt had two steals and two points each.

Christian Heritage was 3-9 from 3-point-land and 18-23 from the charity stripe.

Boys

Logan Woodruff led all scorers with 14 points, but it wasn't enough to take down Christian Heritage in a 47-34 loss Friday night.

The Pirates only scored in the double digits in the second quarter, where they put up 10 points to trail 24-19 at the half and put up six and nine in the second and third, respectively.

Dallen Forsythe had six points and Brady Johnson had four.

Chrstian Heritage was led by two scorers with nine points and hit nine 3-pointers as a team.

The game was the last of 2017 for the two Dale teams. They will play in the Kingston New Year's Classic, from Jan. 4-6.
